Perfect Moment

As we walk hand in hand
And my feet feel the sand

When the sun's setting down
I can smile I don't frown

As the smell of the sea
And its sound reaches me

As the sky's turning black
And the darkness attacks

I hold your hand tighter
And the world becomes brighter

As we go to the pier
There’s nothing that I fear

And as we see the boats rock
Time stops on my clock

And I stare in your eyes
That’s when my heart flies

There is no one else there
It’s just me alone with her

Oh time flies just too fast
Forever this moment should last

Then I feel something's wrong
And I just can't hold on

And your hand slips away
I can’t see this perfect day

I open my eyes and I’m afraid
This was a dream a masquerade

And it hit like the sound of a gong
I've been fooled all along

This is wrong this can't be
Why did this happen to me

It seems like I was cheated
But for what sin I committed

And I go back to bed
On the pillow I rest my head
